Comments: The Rothstein family has been in the woodworking and board milling business for 35 years. They make some of their own custom furniture. In addition, over 40 acres of woodlot adjacent to the mill property is also harvested and sustainably managed by RSM (owned by neighbor).

Other woodlot owners also supply trees from their woodlots for cutting, sawing, milling and drying through RSM. RSM sells the wood products to a local market of customers that have enjoyed the RSM products since 1983. The mill also stockpiles a salable inventory of wood products each season and conducts kiln-drying of wood products for various projects and customers.

Each year, RSM plants several hundred trees, which more than replaces the wood that it harvests. The solar electricity powers the mill and all the woodworking tools.
