CodeMaster Electric has been in business for 16 years.  They are an electrical contractor in Minnesota, License Number EA004492, and Iowa, License Number: EL032042EC.  Chris Swanson holds his Master’s license in both states as well: Minnesota License: AM007441, Iowa license Number: EL032042MA.  Along with the licenses, Chris has completed the MREA Solar Training Academy.

For a bit of background, in 1991 Chris Swanson joined the family profession at Code Electric.  Code Electric was a company his grandparents, Jon and Virginia Sponsler, started around 1977 and it grew to include his three sons and daughter.  Chris was the first grandson to join the company and somehow got the nickname CodeMan.  In 2003 when he decided to leave his uncles and go out on his own he gave himself a promotion started CodeMaster.

Chris has 29 years of commercial experience, many of which he proudly worked side by side with his grandpa and three uncles. As his cousins grew up they joined the family profession as well. Although they are not under the same company anymore, they are partners, supporters and family.

Yes. We talk about Electrical Construction at ALL family functions.

Chris and his wife Shawn started CodeMaster Electrical Contractors, Inc. in 2003.  They started with many kitchens and commercial bakeries.  Chris has a specialty in control wiring that he enjoys and comes naturally to him.  New Dollar General stores throughout Minnesota and Iowa has had much of their business since 2012 and they are now focusing on expanding into solar projects in more recent years.

As much as all their employees are close-nit family, they were happy when their son Noah joined the family business a few years ago.

Scheduled to produce about 50,000 kWhs per year, CodeMaster’s solar array will eliminate most of their electrical bills. They are also concerned about climate change and are hereby demonstrating that more jobs will come from cleaning up our energy supplies.
