Rice, MN. Bryan, Lois and Dean Virnig of Virnig Manufacturing announced today that they have turned on their large new rooftop solar electric generator. The array of solar panels will immediately begin powering approximately forty percent of the electricity (annually) for their growing manufacturing business. This clean energy is being produced by over 1,500 JinKO solar electric panels on their factory roofs at 101 Gateway Drive, Rice, MN. The solar panels cover about 50,000 square feet of roof space (just over one acre) and have a rated capacity of just over 507 DC kilowatts.
